PACT to run Triple P courses in Poole

PACT has been commissioned by Poole Borough Council to run two further Group Teen Triple P parenting courses.

Following on from the successful pilot project run by PACT and Action for Children in 2010/11, further courses have been booked for 2011/12. Poole Borough Council's parenting course programmes require referral by health professionals.

Parents must live in the Borough of Poole and meet the following criteria:

For parents with children 12 to 16 years old
Problem behaviour is of moderate severity
Problem behaviour has relatively recent onset (less than 1 year)
The family situation is reasonably stable
For parents who can recognise they have some ownership of the problem
The teenager does not meet clinical criteria or diagnosis of a development disorder (eg Autistic Spectrum Disorder)
